Alireza Zakani, the Mayor of Tehran, announced in a meeting with municipal managers the transfer of energy and health management of Tehran to the municipality. This decision is in line with long-term goals to create a successful model in urban management and to realize a new Islamic civilization. Zakani emphasized that these changes can not only help in Tehran but can also replicate managerial models in other parts of the country.

The Necessity of Modeling for a New Islamic Civilization

Zakani continued his remarks by highlighting the importance of modeling, stating that Tehran should be recognized as a symbol of efficiency and capability. He believes that success in building and managing Tehran can serve as a global model for other cities and strengthen hope within the community. Zakani referred to four main transformations in urban management, stating their goal is to create a model city and citizens filled with hope and creativity.

Structural Changes in Urban Management

The Mayor of Tehran pointed to changes in managerial approaches in recent years, stating that these changes have led to greater credibility for the municipality among the people. He mentioned the reduction of the municipality's current debt ratio to about 12 percent and clarified that these changes are a sign of better resource management and improved financial status of the municipality. Zakani also referred to the development plans for the metro network, stating that new projects in this area are underway.

Zakani further emphasized the use of existing capacities in the city, stating that the main goal of urban management is to address shortcomings from within the city itself. He also mentioned agreements with the government to stabilize the prices of goods and ensure the livelihood of the people, describing these actions as a protective shield for citizens.

Energy and Health Management Will Be Transferred to the Municipality

In the next step, Zakani announced the plan to transfer energy management of Tehran to the municipality. He stated that contracts related to this transfer are set to be signed starting next week. This action follows the establishment of a new behavioral model in managing the energy and health of citizens. Zakani emphasized that these changes can help improve the quality of life for people and increase their satisfaction.

Overall, these changes in urban management in Tehran demonstrate a serious commitment to reforming structures and creating a successful model for city administration. Given the current economic and social conditions, these actions could strengthen public trust and create hope among citizens.
