AI systems do not operate like living beings in any way. In fact, they rely on engineered infrastructure to continue their activities and do not continuously produce and maintain the structures that keep them active.
Ultimately, resistance to shutdown in artificial intelligence systems may indicate a potential threat, but these behaviors cannot be considered signs of an independent survival instinct on their own.
