It has been 25 years since the September 11 terrorist attacks, but many questions remain unanswered. Has terrorism disappeared or is it evolving? Over these two decades, many countries, especially the United States, have taken measures to combat terrorist threats, but have these measures yielded the desired results?

Changes in Terrorism Patterns

Over time, patterns of terrorism have changed, with groups like ISIS and Al-Qaeda posing new threats to global security. These groups, utilizing new technologies and social networks, can easily influence public opinion and recruit members. While governments are seeking ways to counter these threats, it seems that terrorism continues to manifest in new forms.

Global and Regional Impacts

Analysts believe that terrorism is not just a domestic issue but a global challenge. Countries heavily affected by terrorism, such as Afghanistan and Iraq, are still grappling with the devastating consequences of this phenomenon. Additionally, other countries are not immune to these threats, and especially in the digital age, borders no longer prevent the spread of extremism.

In these two decades, we have witnessed significant changes in governments' approaches to terrorism. From military action to diplomatic efforts, each country has tried in some way to address this issue. But have these efforts been sufficient?

It seems that to combat terrorism, there is a need for a comprehensive and multi-faceted strategy that includes international cooperation, combating poverty and social inequalities, and strengthening governmental institutions. Undoubtedly, these challenges require serious attention and collaboration from all countries.
