Hojjatoleslam and Muslims Ahmadreza Pourkhaghan, head of the Judicial Organization of the Armed Forces, met with the pilots of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force who participated in the foreign operations and the destruction of American helicopters, and honored their efforts.
Details of the Operation and Challenges
The pilots present at this meeting described various aspects of their mission. They pointed out that the news of the martyrdom of the Supreme Commander and a group of students from Minab led them to decide to strike a heavy blow to the enemy. Based on information about the presence of military equipment at one of the enemy's key bases in a neighboring country, they were dispatched on March 1st with two F-5 fighter jets, which were about 70 years old, to carry out this mission.

The operation was carried out under difficult conditions and at an altitude of less than 50 feet (about 18 meters). This altitude made it difficult for the fighter jets to be detected, and they ultimately reached the enemy base with complete surprise. The pilots emphasized that they were able to bomb the helicopters stationed at the base without being detected, and they felt that each of their bombs had a greater impact than ordinary bombs, thanks to God.
Consequences and Impacts of the Operation
In this operation, it is estimated that damage exceeding five billion dollars was inflicted on American infrastructure. The pilots emphasized that the enemy only admitted to the destruction of 12 helicopters, while the actual casualty figures were much higher. Additionally, on their return, one of the F-16 fighter jets pursued them, and during this time, three American F-15 aircraft were mistakenly targeted by their own systems.
Hojjatoleslam and Muslims Pourkhaghan, during this meeting, conveyed the greetings of the head of the judiciary and emphasized the importance of this operation, stating that this action sent an important message to the world: victory in the battlefield depends on faith and reliance on Almighty God. He also emphasized that this operation was unique in its kind and that America suffered a heavy defeat.
At the end of this meeting, in recognition of the bravery and courage of the pilots, a certificate of appreciation and gifts were presented to them. This tribute is seen not only as an acknowledgment of the pilots' efforts but also as a symbol of national will and determination against external threats.
