The Iran war, as a significant event in the international arena, has meaningfully affected Russia's economic and military interests. In this war, on one hand, the United States, led by Donald Trump, is pursuing its own interests, but in reality, this war ends up benefiting Russia and harming the United States and its allies.

Economic Benefits for Russia

The closure of the Strait of Hormuz and rising oil prices have acted as an opportunity for the Russian economy. At a time when Russia is facing serious economic challenges due to the war in Ukraine, the increase in oil revenues resulting from this war has helped Vladimir Putin's government reduce its budget deficit, and forecasts indicate that these revenues may even turn into a budget surplus.

Additionally, with the halt of exports from the Persian Gulf region, the demand for Russian fertilizers has increased. These factors, along with the suspension of sanctions on Russian oil exports, have further strengthened Moscow's revenues and created significant dissatisfaction and concerns among America's allies.

Military and Political Challenges for America

At the same time, U.S. military costs in this war have significantly increased. The use of over 800 Patriot anti-missile missiles in just three days of the war demonstrates the pressure being placed on the defensive capabilities of the U.S. and its allies in Europe and East Asia. This is while these missiles were being used to defend Ukraine against Russian attacks.

Moreover, the decision to divert about $750 million from NATO's budget to supply military equipment for the U.S. clearly shows how this war can weaken America's position against global threats. Given the reduction in military capability and decreased support for Ukraine, America's allies are showing sensitivity to these developments.

Russia is not only taking advantage of these conditions but is also continuing to weaken the United States' positions in the Middle East through military and intelligence cooperation with Iran. These developments clearly indicate that in this war, instead of strengthening its position, the U.S. is helping to strengthen Russia's position.

Conclusion

The Iran war has not only brought positive economic impacts for Russia but has also led to serious challenges for the United States and its allies. This situation reflects the complexities of modern warfare, where military decisions can lead to completely unexpected outcomes. Ultimately, these developments will have a profound impact on America's future policies and its approach to global crises.
